Shirt tailors in Vietnam

A shirt costs far less than a suit: half of the reported shirt prices are US$50 or less, against a median of US$220 for one suit. At 45 Thu Tailor shirts cost US$35 to US$40, a custom shirt at Be Li Tailor cost US$40, and one reviewer at Lusi Tailor Shop paid about £24 each for made-to-measure shirts. Shirts often go into a bigger order: at Two Ladies Tailor a two-piece suit, two ties and a shirt came to £159, and at Mr. XE a jacket and a white shirt cost 4,000,000 VND (about US$163). Ask for the shirt price on its own before you add it to a suit.

Times are short. The most common turnaround is 24 to 48 hours, listed by 71 shops, and 25 work same day. At Bari Tailor one reviewer had two suits and a bamboo shirt in 48 hours with several fittings. If you already own a shirt that fits well, bring it: Lusi Tailor Shop, Thien Thi Tailor and Ny Central Tailor all make copies of clothes customers bring.
